Apparently, Boggy Creek is a real place, as is the monster (supposedly). MonsterQuest even references the film. Not the horrible MST3K'd one, but the original. Still...

Is this not news to anyone? Am I late on the news wagon again?

Subject:Happy Valentines from Hor-RIFF-ic Productions!
Posted by:hor_riff_ic.
Time:10:57 am.
Most of you are probably familiar with our little team by now, but just in case you’re not… We are Gary and Erin Slasher, the goriest couple in movie riffing to date. He’s your typical cleaver wielding psychopath and she’s a brain devouring zombie with a heart of gold. Having failed to make it in the horror movie biz themselves we’ve set out to do the next best thing -- cut our more successful colleagues to ribbons with sharp tongues and razor-like wit! No horror movie is safe!

Just in time for the Holiday, we’ve finished slashing our latest victim… My Bloody Valentine, now available for only $1.99 on RiffTrax. And because we’re feeling especially sweet… we’ve released a track for both the previously released theatrical version of the film AND the new extended, uncut version.

We’ll be heartbroken if you don’t check out the following sample clip…

You can get more info, view another sample, and purchase our riff here!

And please feel free to friend us to receive updates on future victims.

Hope You Have a VERY Bloody Valentine’s Day!

"In the not too distanct future way down in Deep Thirteen,
Doctor Forrester and TV's Frank were hatching an evil scheme.
"

For ten seasons, Joel, Mike, and the bots were tortured with the worst Hollywood had to offer, much to the delight of the viewing audience. Now, twenty years later, the show is a cult classic with DVDs being released and the tapes still being circulated. Keith and Andrea host this Roundtable discussion with Cinefantastique's Dan Persons and Frank Conniff, TV's Frank. Plus, Jay Smith tells us why zombies are "My Guilty Pleasure".

You can find this episode on Podomatic, iTunes, or the Rift's own homepage.

Yeesh, this place is DEAD. D: I PLAN TO HELP CHANGE THAT.

Hello, hello! This is Raina, AKA Radaj! I'm a 17-year-old girl from MS, USA, and my dad introduced me to MST3K years ago. I've recently gotten re-obsessed, and also gotten my best friend hooked as well. I'll link her here and see if she can help bring things back to life around here. :)

Let's see, other things about me... I'm a writer, so expect some fanfiction from me! I also make icons and banners occasionally, so I'll try and scatter some of that around, too.

I think just about the whole male cast of the show are adorable. XD Yes, including the ever-awesome bots. I'm also a firm believer in Dr. F/Frank as a couple. ;D I mean, how can you not be when it's that blatant? (I also think Crow/Tom Servo is cute, hahaha. I'm an odd one.)

My favorite stage of the show is very likely when Mike was hosting, and Dr. F and Frank were still the villains. :) That's my favorite version of Crow from what I've heard, as well.

Well, this is DRAAAAGGING on, so I'll stop it here. Once again, it's nice to meet you, if anyone else is still out there!

Subject:Jim Henson!
Posted by:solidfoamsoul.
Time:3:17 pm.
Okay, guys, help me get something straight. On the Muppet-Wiki, which I'm a contributor of, I noticed something that I'm pretty sure is incorrect:

Episode #512 - Mitchell - Starring Joe Don Baker. A skinny, bearded man is onscreen for a moment. Host Joel Robinson quips, "It's Jim Henson!" The robot puppet Tom Servo responds with an impersonation of Kermit, saying "Hi ho!"

Episode #605- Codename: Diamond-Head- A failed Hawaii Five-0 esque TV pilot, the reference is very similer to the one in #512, above, when one of the Coast Guard officers, who is also a skinny man with a beard appears on-screen.

I took a screen cap of the Jim Henson looking guy for an icon that I decided not to make because the sillouttes wouldn't show up well and its been so long I can't remember where exactly it's from. I know for sure it's not "Mitchell" because that's Mike in the shot. Besides I don't remember a Jim Henson reference. I remember the shot being from "Angel's Revenge" also a season six episode.

This is driving me crazy...

Help!

Who saw and just loved Space Mutany? The woman was old enough to be the hero's mom and the hero was a big beafy guy who screamed like a girl... what's not to love?

Does anyone know the link to the list of names that mike and the bots call the hero (for lack of a better word)? Thanks

So, since I've been made moderator of this here community, it only seems fit that I kinda stand up and say hi, and keep watching MST3K!

My favorite episode would have to be Prince of Space, it was just so funny!

What do you all think? What would have to be your favorite episodes? Let's keep this community alive, people!!

Hello, all!

I am a huge fan of MST3K, much like many of you, and I've had a hankering to watch the show again. It's more fun when you have a bunch of people who appreciate it watching it, too...the more the merrier! Not only that, but meeting new friends is always great!

I'd like to try and get an MST3K night going. I live in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago, so we could talk about venue. Frequency could be discussed...once a month, twice a month, etc...but I really miss the show, and I'm sure some of you do, too, so a meeting of like minds would be great.

If anyone from the surrounding areas would be interested, feel free and share your thoughts!

I'm new to this community, in fact, I just joined. My entire family used to gather around and watch MST3K when it was on sci-fi, so as far back as I can remember I've loved the show. I actually just got "The Essentials" on DVD for christmas from my sister. That includes "Manos: Hands of Fate" and "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians". I got her "The Brain that Wouldn't Die". We also have the volumes 4 and 5 box sets. Funny story, my sister and I both got each other the volume 4 box set for each other for christmas last year. We opened them at the same time and yelled at each other. So we exchanged one for volume 5. Anyway, I just joined, so I thought I'd introduce myself.
